We started Eaglemount Wine and Cider in 2006 here on the Olympic Peninsula in northwest Washington State. We offer premium wines and hard ciders.
Our winery is located on one of the original homesteads on the Olympic Peninsula in Northwest Washington. Most of the fruit we use to make our hard ciders comes from our farm or neighboring farms. The wise old trees in our orchard, estimated at 120 years old, still produce heirloom varieties such as gravenstein, roxbury russet, tompkins king, twenty ounce, and winter banana. Our new cider apple orchard has English and French cider varieties. We also make specialty ciders depending on the availability of fruit. All ciders are organic and produced in limited quantities.
As our passion for winemaking took hold we found a small vineyard in eastern Washington, Arianses Vineyard near Mattawa, that produced premium wine grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and more. We are developing our own small vineyard. Because of the cooler growing season here near the coast we only have a few varieties of grapes that will ripen. Our wines won Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in 2009 wine competitions. We source only the finest grapes from a small vineyard in the Wahluke Slope AVA and Wallula Vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA of eastern Washington.
Our underground cellar provides the perfect temperature and humidity for aging our red wines in French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels.
Thanks for choosing our small-batch, handcrafted ciders and wines.
