Wild Sage is a community tea and herb shop dedicated to serving the local and regional communities with the finest quality teas, tonics and herbs for everyday wellness, pure enjoyment, ritual and celebration. Located in downtown Port Townsend, Wild Sage began “transforming the world one sip at a time” in 1999 by steadily introducing world class full-leaf teas and organic herbal tonics to the local community. After more than a decade, Wild Sage is the longest running tea and herb shop on the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas, it’s longevity attributed to it’s commitment to quality, service and integrity.
Born of the insight that “inner peace brings outer peace”, Wild Sage was established to promote “the path of balance” in our daily lives - balance between heart and mind, art and science, pleasure and health. After more than a decade working as an environmental geologist and naturalist, founder Solenne Walker realized that the best way to protect the planet’s health was to deepen our respect and awareness of our own health - body, mind and soul. While studying native and medicinal plants, Walker discovered that our connections to the natural world are enhanced when we reconnect with the traditional use plants and herbs for natural health.
Wild Sage, the name and the business, honors traditions both “East and West”; from the taoist sages of the Orient, who honored and cultivated the tea plant, to the North American wild sage, considered the most sacred of plants by the indigenous peoples. Wild Sage sources only the finest quality “orthodox” teas - meaning hand-plucked the traditional way from tea gardens; not sourced from large, agricultural farms. Certified organic teas and herbs are sourced, wherever possible. Wild Sage also creates their own unique 100% organic herbal tonic teas exclusively in downtown Port Townsend, handcrafted with only the finest herbs for optimal quality, unparalleled freshness, daily nourishment and delicious taste. We understand that teas and herbs grown and processed in healthy regions, bring good health to all of us.
Wild Sage herbal tonic blends, like Moondance, were created to relieve the stresses many of us encounter in our daily lives. Minty Belly Balm, was a "co-creation", invented by customers seeking a delicious digestive aid who blended all the best digestive herbs - which, by no coincidence, just happen to taste really good!

The atmosphere is definitely cozy, relaxing and welcoming.
