This is a hot-smoked Sockeye salmon. We have looked for a smoked salmon that is fresher than canned, does not need refrigeration until opend and that is not as difficult to ship as frozen salmon can be. We rejoiced when we found this offering from Crimson Cove in Poulsbo.
It has a firmer texture than its cousins: cold smoked or Lox style. This is truly a Northwest-style smoked salmon developed from the traditions of the Native Americans that still live on the Sound and around the Washington and Alaskan coastlines.
